Sri Anna journeyed throughout the Bharatha desha at a stretch for a whole year in 1978 as a Digvijayam taking His ishta devatha Kolahalan throughout, having the darshan of all temples, Divyadeshams ( till Badrinath, Kedarnath), Palaces where queens committed jouhar ( that inspired Him to write the Sati Vijayam – on queens of India). After the one year long Digvijayam he came back and did the prathishta of Kolahala ( Lord Krishna with Radha Devi) in the temple permanently.
At Paranoor besides the nithyothsava ( from Suprabhatham to Dolothsavam ) as mentioned before He conducts uthsavams:
1) Teppothsavam on Thai amavasya ( Jan)
2) Rama Navami in Panguni- Chitra ( March- April)
3) Vasanthothsavam in Vaikhasi
4) Brahmothsavam in Aavani as a Jananothsava for Janmashtami.
Incidentally Sri Anna has the same nakshatra and was born on the same day as Lord Krishna—Aavani Rohini.
5) Navarathri uthsavam
6) Keerthanavali uthsavam (Dhanurmasa uthsavam)
7) Prathi Ekadesi (every Ekadesi) Thirumanjanam, pravachanam, divyanamam, Dwadashi unchavruthy, Dasami akhanda nama ( throughout the night)
Brindavan : He established “Prema Madhuri Nikunjam", a temple at Brindavan with a Nandavanam, doing the Prathishta of Radha Vamsidharan and Uthsava murthy Radha Jaganmohan. He started 4 main uthsavams:
1) Holi uthsavam during Holi
2) Radha Kalyanam during Chitra Pournami
3) Radhashtami celebrating Radha Devi's Birthday
Azhagar kovil : He established “ Koorathazhwar Bhajanashramam" at Azhagar Kovil, naming it after Koorathazhwar who served Azhagar for 12 years though blinded, making garlands. Every Chitra pournami Azhagar visits the ashram while going to the Vaigai river and on his way back. During this period he conducts sapthaham every year.
Here Saturday akhandanamas and sapthahams are carried out throughout the year. The Goshala is filled with happy, well nourished cows.
Melkotta : Sri Anna is very fond of Chellapillai aka Sampathkumaran of ThiruNarayanapuram (Melkotte). Hence he established “ Krishnasuri bhajanashrama" at Melkotte. Every month during Rohini Chellapillai visits this ashram and bakthas perform bhajans.
Pandari : Just as Sri Anna is fond of temple deities, the deities themselves are fond of Sri Anna. “Enadu Archaavathara Anubhavam" written by Him in his monthly spiritual magazine “Bhagavatha Dharmam" conveys this explicitly. The deities speak to deserving Bhakthas. Who can be more deserving and qualified than our Sri Anna. He used to visit Pandarpur every Shivarathri. This has been happening again for almost 40 years. He desired to establish a “Santh Nivas" for the devotees and as a Sathyasankalpan his desire came true. There sprung a wonderful Dwarakadish mandir cum Santh Nivas at the banks of Chandrabhaga. The yearly Deepavali uthsavams are a feast to watch.
Kanchi : Varadan of Kanchi is as favourite to Him as Ranganatha of Srirangam. He established an Agama patashala at Kanchi where Perumal Himself visits fondly on the festival of Vanabhojanam. His Mangalasana divyadesa samrakshana trust takes care of this. Sri Vaikanasam and Sri Pancharathram aagama patasalaas were started here having branches at Srivilliputhur, Thirukurungudi, Vanamalalai, Sriperumbudur and Chennai. Among the 108 divyadesams two were destroyed and re-constructed at the Yathokthakari temple inside as separate sannathis and Punar prathishtai was done by Sri Anna. It was dedicated to to the Sri Vaishnavam society by Sri Anna on the occasion of His Sathabishekam on 26.8.2013. Now all 108 divyadesams are available for Darshan to aasthikas.
Perumbakkam : This place is near Vizhupuram. It is the birth place of “ Rajagopala Desikar” fondly called “Vasudeva Thatha”. He was a great devotee of Lord Rama and Tirupathi Srinivasa. Though much much elder to Sri Anna he turned into an ardent baktha of Sri Anna as his desire to have the sakshathkara ( in person darshan) of the Lord was fulfilled through the thapas of Sri Anna. He started living in Paranoor and stayed there until his end. In his fond memory Sri Anna established “Sri Rajagopala Swamigal Thirumaligai” at Perumbakkam and celebrates his Thirunakshatram ( Birthday) which falls on the day of Mahanavami (Saraswathi pooja) during the Navami of Navarathri.( Sept-Oct). Nithya Aradhana of the Rama and other salagrama deities he worshipped is being done.
Singapore : Sri Anna established “ Sri Krishnapremi Swamigal Sathsangham" at Singapore. Here weekend parayanam, bhajans are carried out. Besides these every 6 months a pravachana series is held.
Dubai : The Dubai Brahma Sabha conducts yearly pravachanam series besides weekend bhajans.
Chicago: The Brahma Sabha established by Sri Anna at Chicago several years back conducts parayanam, bhajans, pravachanams and festivities.
Washington DC : Sri Anna established the Brahma sabha at Washington and desired the establishment of “Premika Bhavanam" with the purpose of conducting pravachanams, spreading Indian culture and also for Anthima samskaaras ( Final rites) as this ritual is difficult overseas.
In honour of Gnanananda Swamigal ( whose siddhi was discovered by Sri Anna ) He does the vaarshika sapthaham at Thapovanam for His Aradhana. Likewise the Aradhana at Alangudi for Alangudi Periyava is conducted by him.
Sri Anna celebrated all mahaans and all of them in turn celebrated Sri Anna. It is said that Kanchi Paramacharya was proud of him and grew very fond of Him. So did the Stingeri Acharyas , acharyas if Vaishnavaite mutts – Aandavan, Ahobila mutt, Yadugiri mutt, Vanamamalai, Madwa Sampradaya acharyas, Ramakrishna mutt and acharyas of all sampradayas as well as Shivacharyas and Muruga bakthas.
It would surprise many to reveal that he had Muslim devotees and Christian devotees as well. Sri Anna never believed in conversion. “ Let a David be David, and Muhammad be Muhammad, but let him be loyal to what has been inscribed in his religion. He need not change names or dresses but needs to gave a good heart that follows the righteous path" , He would often say.
He adored Ramakrishna Paramahamsa and many times I would personally feel his teachings and life experiences very similar to that of Paramahamsa.
